We’d just lost someone we loved to complications from type 2 diabetes, and suddenly, every “fun” drink in the fridge felt like a loaded gun disguised as a soda can.

We didn’t want “better-for-you” in the polite, beige, diet-drink way. We wanted bold. We wanted delicious. We wanted something you’d actually crave. So we experimented - hibiscus petals on the counter, sticky mugs in the sink, taste tests that ranged from “incredible” to “what on earth did we just drink?” We didn’t stop until we’d bottled the kind of flavor that smacks you in the taste buds and makes you instantly forget every bland, watery “healthy” drink you’ve ever tried.
